Based in Livingston, Alabama, and secondarily in Daytona Beach, Florida, pianist Paul Lee is the Assistant Professor of Piano at The University of West Alabama. At UWA, he is responsible for all aspects of the keyboard area, including studio piano, studio organ, accompanying, and providing music for special events on campus, such as Honors Day and commencement exercises.
In addition to his work at UWA, Dr. Lee maintains an active recital presence, often with long-time friend Alex Lapins, currently the Associate Professor of Tuba and Euphonium at the University of Tennessee. He is also a frequent collaborator at the University of Alabama, both with faculty and graduate students.
With a background in collaborative piano, Dr. Lee is a passionate advocate for chamber music, with the vast majority of his performances taking place with other musicians.
